Hi, I’m Shawna, a Bay Area portrait, family, and small wedding photographer. I shoot both digital and film and also love creating short video compilations for clients. Photography runs in my family. My dad first taught me the craft, and I later studied photography at Portland State University before turning it into my full-time work.

I also spent many years working closely with children and families, including as the director of a Montessori school in Berkeley. That experience still guides how I work today: calm, intuitive, and attentive to creating an atmosphere where people feel comfortable.

My sessions are thoughtfully paced and warmly guided so you can relax into the experience while I take care of the rest.

Outside of photography, I enjoy music, plants, vintage finds, costumes, cooking, and time spent laughing with friends, all of which keep me inspired and bring fresh energy to each new photo project.

My goal is to create images that feel personal, timeless, and true to you, along with an experience that feels easy and fun.
